World Cup 2018. Croatia advances
Croatia-Russia will be the next quarter-finals of this World Cup. The Croatians qualified after a dramatic match with Denmark after the penalty kick, while 120 minutes of play ended 1-1.
Two goals within the first 4 minutes by Denmark “M. Jørgensen” in the 1′ and Croatia “M. Mandžukić” in the 4′, then two teams scared to attack the opponent.
The regular time ended with the result 1-1, while in the 116th minute, Modric had all the possibilities to close the qualifying issue when confronted by Schmeichel, who managed to stop Real Madrid’s star.
The match went to the penalty shootout, where Schmeichel again showed extraordinary value, waiting for the Croats with two more penalties, but on the other hand was another fantastic goalkeeper. Subasic managed to stop Danish players three times, sending Croatia’s squad to the quarter-finals of this World Cup, where they will face the organizers of World Cup – Russia.
