Gold moment for German Football. After the triumph in the World Cup, Germany wins the Confederations Cup by defeating Chile 1-0 in the final, who has won twice the Copa America and eliminated Portugal in semifinals.
The final of St. Petersburg started good for the young Panthers, Chile, who for 20 minutes took control of the game by approaching the goal, but in the first chance that was created, Germany scores the only goal of the match with Lars Stindl.
Chile felt psychologically hit by allowing Germany to create other chances with Leon Goretzka who appeared twice dangerous ahead of the net with Claudio Bravon who responded well to the 45th. Even in second half again Germany appears dangerous with Draxler at 55 minute.
On the other side Chile risked to score twice, with Arturo Vidal and Sagal, but without proper clarity in front of the net. Germany had to suffer until eventually managed the advantage to win the first trophies of the Confederations Cup.
